What is MRWG?

Nov 2, 2021 at 11:53am

For more than 15 years, we’ve helped keep stormwater pollution out of the Mojave River.

How did MRWG start?
The Mojave River Watershed Group is made up of representatives from the County of San Bernardino, Town of Apple Valley, City of Hesperia and City of Victorville. Together, we work to keep our waterways clean by participating in and sponsoring community cleanups, spreading eco awareness messages and working with partners to practice a green lifestyle.

What does MRWG do?
We have resources for businesses, educators and regular people (like you) to help prevent stormwater pollution. We want to educate the High Desert about the importance of keeping pollution and litter out of our stormwater and waterways.

How do I report pollution in my community?
If you notice pollution in your neighborhood, please fill out the Pollution Reporting Form and we will take the necessary steps to remove the trash ASAP.

How can I get more involved? Where do I start?
We’re glad you asked! You can start by making the pledge to become a Stormwater Trooper. Then get a few friends and family members together to host a neighborhood clean-up. While you’re at it, share our stormwater savvy tips on social media and we’ll give you a shoutout!
